Oskar Simryd, trainee at Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce during 2023/2024, has been a vital part of the CLS organisation during the past year. An eventful trainee period, where CLS has executed more activities than ever before and by doing so, strengening the gateway for trade and the networking hub for Swedish and Portuguese business. Below, Oskar shares his experience from his past year with the CLS and some news about his future.
What a year it has been! I am grateful for the opportunity to join the Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce for a full year, meeting and learning from the many inspiring people in the Swedish-Portuguese business community.
The CLS is a small and dynamic organiztion with high ambitions. As a trainee, I have had the opportunity to be creative and initiate new strategies and operaitons. The high degree of responsibility and go-ahead spirit, made every day of the traineeship meaningful.
Througout the year I have been working tigthly with many of you members, planning and executing the CLS activites, as well as managing the marketing and controlling the budgeting and finances. The job has been the perfect combination of administrative, social and creative assignments. I truly recommend newly graduates to do their traineeship at the CLS.
It is now time for me to move on in my carreer. In August I will be joining the Swedish company, Alentec & Orion, working as a Area Sales Manager responsible for the Asian Market. My year in Portugal at CLS gave me the opportunity to accelerate my international carreer and made me confident and courious to continuing creating bileteral trade relations.
A warm thank you to the CLS community, all the members, partners, and Team Sweden for the great cooperation throughout the year, I hope to see you all again soon. I am overwhelmed by the Portuguese culture, hospitality and the positive business environment, as well as the tight Swedish-Portuguese community.
Portugal will always have a special place in my heart. And I will always be a strong ambassador for CLS, spreading the message.
A special thank you to the CLS Board of Directors and Secretary General Charlotta Mohlén for an outstanding cooperation. You have all been inspirations and contributed immensely to my experience at the CLS.
