As Spain and Portugal pursue ambitious climate neutrality goals, there is a growing demand for cutting-edge technologies in wind, solar, green hydrogen, and energy storage—underscoring the relevance of Swedish solutions in the energy transition.
On October 16, the CLS had the pleasure of welcoming a group of Swedish renewable energy companies to Portugal. The Renewable Energy Delegation, organized by Business Sweden in collaboration with CLS and the Swedish Embassy in Lisbon, aimed to foster collaboration between Swedish companies and key stakeholders in the Iberian energy sector.
The delegation featured B2B meetings with companies such as Iberdrola, Repsol, Cepsa, Ren, and EDP, along with presentations from AICEP and DGEG - Direção Geral de Energia e Geologia. Participants also engaged in networking, a "speed-dating" concept and of course a little time to try some Portuguese delicacies like the appreciated Pastel de Nata. For CLS, it was extra delightful to welcome some of our existing CLS-members, like IKEA and Sérvulo & Associados, to contribute with insights from their individual experineces and expertise in Portugal.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Business Sweden, The Embassy of Sweden in Lisbon, for the excellent organization, AICEP for the generous welcome and contribution, and naturally to all Swedish energy companies participating. We hope to see you back in Portugal soon again!
