One of our most appreciated networking activities from pre-covid was back in a new format called "Sweden connections" where the CLS co-hosted an evening with our members Leaps and Altericare and in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Lisbon and Business Sweden, an invite-only networking event on November 3, held at a rooftop in the heart of Lisbon.
The networking evening gave a true feeling of what we have missed during the last year - human connection - and added as cherry on top to the inspiring days at the Websummit.
For the sixth year in a row, Web Summit was held in Lisbon early November. Web Summit is hailed as the world's largest technology conference and brings together a large number of entrepreneurs, companies, startups, investors, organizations, and countries. This year, the event gathered over 40,000 participants from 128 countries and for the first time ever, women outnumbered the men with 50,5% of participations.
Leading Swedish brands on stage included Spotify, Zara Larsson, H&M, VOI among others and there were hundreds of Swedish startups, investors and corporates gathered at this world-class event. Trending topics were human innovation, AI, climate change, protecting our consumers and leading with equality and inclusion!
While connecting people and being the gateway for trade and business between Sweden and Portugal is at our core essence, nothing warms our heart more than when we can do it after such a long time apart.
Getting back to business and bringing one of our most appreciated networking evening back to life, CLS co-hosted an invite-only evening with our members from Leaps and Altericare, in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Lisbon and Business Sweden Portugal & Spain.
Gathering 70 attendees at Hotel Chiado in the heart of Lisbon, it seemed the evening was never ending and the dialouges, connections and potential businesses were all thriving.
We already now look forward to making magic and co-creation happen in next year's edition!
