Web Summit exceeded all our expectations, and we are already eager to welcome the 2023 edition. This year, CLS had the pleasure of collaborating with Business Sweden, the Embassy of Sweden in Lisbon and our corporate member LEAPS.
Together we created an eventful agenda and representation of the Swedish-Portuguese business community. CLS would like to direct a warm thank you to our co-hosts as well as express our gratitude to all stakeholders and entities who we had the opportunity to meet during this eventful week in Lisbon.
Web Summit connects people and businesses from all over the world and we were happy to see a great number of representatives from Sweden in Lisbon. We had the opportunity to meet with Swedish startups exhibitioning at the conference, well established and multinational Swedish entities and representatives from regional and political instances.
The Swedish booth at the summit became a significant meeting point for our community and an attractive place for other web summit attendees from various countries to connect and have fruitful discussions.
Ambassador of Sweden to Portugal, Elisabeth Eklund participated in the inauguration of the Swedish booth, which was followed by a Swedish Fintech hour and several business presentations and talks from e.g. Invest in Stockholm, -Skåne, -Halland and Vinnova.
Besides getting inspired and connecting in the Swedish booth, Web Summit naturally offers a magnificent crowd of speakers, all sharing knowledge, trends, and insights from the forefront of their respective industries. In summary, this years conference offered much emphasis on sustainability, customer experience and fintech.
Last but not least, a true highlight for us during the Web Summit was our Sweden Connects at Web summit networking event which has grown each year. Around 100 guests joined us for a magical evening filled with food delicacies and networking. Furthermore, we had the honour to present a fantastic Portuguese fado singer, Yola Dinis, who stunned the audience with her powerful voice.
