As we reflect on 2024, it’s clear that this was a year defined by adaptability, ambition, and a shared drive to innovate. In a world that remains complex and unpredictable, the importance of connection and collective resilience has never been more evident. Together, we’ve embraced opportunities to grow stronger, creating real impact in Sweden, Portugal, and beyond.
The Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our members, partners, and supporters. Your dedication and engagement have brought energy and purpose to every initiative, event, and milestone we’ve achieved this year.
As we close this chapter, the year that saw the most activities ever for CLS, we are looking back with great pride and joy on the accomplishments. There has been extraordinary examples of where innovation, decisiveness, and power coming together to successfully bridge ties between Sweden and Portugal.
2024 Highlights:
The CLS concluded several Business Breakfasts together with the Swedish Embassy in Lisbon, warmly welcomed a Swedish Energy Delegation to Portugal together with Team Sweden in Portugal, hosted the Executive MBA Group from Stockholm Univeristy on their study trip to Lisbon, concluded with a sparking AI themed networking event, and discussed the business climate in Portugal with visitors from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Swedish Booth at Web Summit was organized by the CLS together with Team Sweden. A vibrant and dynamic place where people from around the world connected to see and interact with industry leading Swedish companies, organizations, and regions. All contributing to representing Sweden at one of the largest tech conferences globally.
Together with Web Summit, "Sweden and Norway Connects at Web Summit" took place at the marvelous rooftop at INSCALE. The event bridged people from all around the globe and various sectors, to celebrate Sweden and Norway at Web Summit.
New initiatives were launched, the Swedish Entrepreneur Network kicked off, creating a platform for dynamic conversations, knowledge-sharing, and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit within the Swedish-Portuguese business ecosystem.
The Peer Meeting HR group was also initiated and had two meetings where several important discussions took place with HR representatives from prominent Swedish companies, which will continue in 2025.
