Jennifer Ekström, a soft-spoken and warm-hearted person, who, with her professional capacity of performance and execution is ready to lead the Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce to increase engagement and business facilitation for its community.
With long experience and profound interest for the Portuguese market and the trade between Sweden and Portugal, Jennifer was elected to succeed Hans-Erhard Reiter after his 10 years of strong leadership and contribution to the Swedish and Portuguese business society.
Jennifer is a dedicated professional and a privacy driven person, who is continuously seeking to create synergies for collaboration and joint successes in order to build teams and develop business across borders, mentions Hans-Erhard Reiter, former President of CLS. I have known her and worked with her for many years now and I am happy that she accepted the challenge to lead CLS into the future, he adds.
With a background as management consultant for government, being Trade commissioner for the Swedish Trade & Invest Council in Portugal, Jennifer is used to driving public affairs for government and large companies and internationalization for small and medium business globally.
Today, Jennifer is Business Development Manager for Privasee, a Swedish start-up specialized in privacy, where she is now leading the European expansion and business development out of Lisbon.
Additionally, she has been part of the Board of the Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce since 2012 where she has actively contributed to the development and digitization of the Chamber.
It is with honour and joy I assume my new role as President of the Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce. (CLS). This, when CLS is in the middle of a dynamic journey of growth and digitization to actively engage our members and facilitate the business between Sweden and Portugal.
Taking over from Hans-Erhard is a privilege and at the same time a challenge. I thank Hans-Erhard dearly for his years as President, as well as his support in my own leadership development and his mentorship during my time in the Board.
I do believe my experience will be useful to this new role, and together with our highly skilled and highly respected Board of Directors and our talented Secretary General, I have no doubt that 2019 will be a successful year!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Ekström
