Opening in May 2021 in the quaint Portuguese city of Coimbra, The Hästens Sleep Spa is a hotel concept entirely dedicated to providing guests with a world-class night’s sleep. Swedish luxury sleep brand Hästens comes with 168 years of experience in the sleep field, so they are extremely excited to announce their first hospitality venture in partnership with Grupo O Valor do Tempo. The property’s fifteen unique rooms will offer guests the chance to spend the night sleeping on some of the world’s most impressive hand-made beds.

The fifteen rooms at Hästens Sleep Spa combine the classic charm of cultural heritage with modern style and elegance, where the supremacy of sleep is key. Inspired by the originality and literary richness of the Joanine Library in the bathroom, the room contrasts with the serenity and tranquility of a sanctuary of personal comfort, provided by the exclusive Hästens Sleep Spa concept. The hotel has a close partnership with Joanina Library and provides ultimate customized guided tours of the library itself. If our guests have a specific interest and would like a unique and exclusive experience, such as consulting a book from the 16th century on a theme of their interest, having the library exclusively for their own visit can design a truly memorable experience.The lobby is an inspiring gallery area, breath-taking in its fine handiwork. Lined with 419,992 small mosaic tiles arranged geometrically across the floor and walls, extending up to the ceiling in a representation of the extraordinary bookshelves and ornaments serves as another tribute to the Joanine Library.

Hästens Sleep Spa will serve breakfast and Afternoon Tea daily for guests. Light meals will also be avaliable throughout the day for guests that wish to dine at the hotel. All F&B is included courtesy of the hotel to ensure that guests can totally relax and enjoy their sleep spa experience. Guests also have access to an exclusive rooftop where they cnn enjoy stunning views of the city while sipping a complimentary glass of champagne.
