The Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce a deepened cooperation with Diaverum Portugal. Diaverum Portugal is the fourth company to be introduced as a Strategic Partner to the CLS in 2024. They now join the list consisting of Anticimex, Ericsson Portugal, Essity, QueensLab, Securitas, Snowfire, and Volvo Car Portugal.
Diaverum is a Swedish-born, multinational healthcare organisation that provides life-enhancing renal care to patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), empowering them to live fulfilling lives. Diverum is the second largest company in the industy.
Diaverum Portugal's history is closely linked to the history of Gambro, which created its Portuguese subsidiary in 1980. During these years, Gambro reached a position of leadership in the Portuguese market, having been pioneer in 1992/93 in the massification of haemodialysis with bicarbonate and boosting of controlled ultrafiltration. In 2007, Gambro Healthcare was acquired by Bridgepoint and the name Diaverum was adopted and launched worldwide Today Diaverum Portugal has 27 clinics all around Portugal, making them the second largest player the country.
The Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce met up with Sofia Correia de Barros, Country Manager, Diaverum Portugal, to hear more about her thoughts regarding the deepened cooperation.
