On Saturday the 7th of March, the Embassy of Sweden with support from the CLS, organized a Business Breakfast with Swedish Companies in conjunction with the visit of the Prime Minister of Sweden, Stefan Löfven. The occasion was an informal exchange that indented to inform the Prime Minister of the current business situation, challenges, and opportunities relevant to Swedish companies in Portugal.
On the occasion of the visit to Portugal by the Prime Minister of Sweden, the Embassy of Sweden with support from the CLS organized a business breakfast with the Swedish delegation and business leaders from nine subsidiaries of Swedish companies in Portugal. The breakfast was organized as an informal exchange to inform the Prime Minister of the current situation for Swedish subsidiaries in Portugal, and it was held before the Prime Minister met with his Portuguese counterpart, Prime Minister António Costa.
During the breakfast, the President of the CLS, Jennifer Ekström, presented the main findings in the newly concluded Business Climate Survey by Team Sweden in Portugal. The business leaders were able to present their business operations in Portugal and current priorities to the Prime minister, as well as asking questions and discuss topics with the Prime Minister and the Swedish delegation.
As an action point from the business breakfast, the Embassy and the CLS will follow up on the trade barriers discussed and present them to the Government of Portugal for their knowledge. For this reason, we also invite all members to inform us regarding challenges.
We want to send a special thank you to all the participants of the business breakfast!
