Maria is holding a role as VP Cathode Active Material, a business area within Northvolt AB covering the procurement of raw materials as well as process and material development of cathode active material. Before joining Northvolt (Jan 2019) Maria was Managing Director for Swerea KIMAB (2016-2018), a research institute focused on material and process development with operations in France and Sweden. Before that, she worked for Sandvik Machining Solutions and Coromant. The first seven years (2000-2007) after finishing her PhD within R&D in different material and product development projects. Between 2007 and 2013 she held different manager positions within R&D. Between 2013 and 2016 she was production manager at the cutting tool insert production at Sandvik Coromant, Gimo. Prior to the time at Sandvik she studied for a MSc (1991-1995) at KTH and for a PhD (1995-2000) in Materials Science at Uppsala University.
Luís is a highly motivated digital and tech-savvy, with a strong passion for branding and working with organizations that deliver a higher purpose and added value. Over the last 20 years, he has worked in the retail industry, to deliver the best consumer experience of the industry. Since 2021, he is the Loyalty & Brand Manager of Volvo Car Portugal, with the mission to contribute and help transform the brand, in Portugal, to be more people first, digitally connected, and purpose driven.

Daniela has several years of experience within Sports Management, the Oil sector and Renewable Energy. Over the last 2 years she has assumed the role of International Business Relations Manager at Universal Kraft and has been developing the company business not only in the traditional Solar PV field but also within Green Hydrogen & Ammonia and Electric Mobility. She is an energy transition enthusiast acting in different global markets such as Europe and North/South América and has recently joined IPS where she is working to establish decentralized clean energy solutions for EU Islands.
Consultant in international and public affairs, responsible for EU Affairs at Galp Energia with a focus on the energy transition and sustainable economy.
Anna has a long experience from working in EU institutions in Brussels, and over a decade in several roles in linked to public affairs and policy in Portugal, where she is also active in gender equality networks. Enthusiastic enabler of business and culture exchange between her two home countries, Sweden and Portugal. Since 2019, board member of CLS.
This talk is the forth talk out of five that the CLS is arranging during 2022 under the Sustainability Initiative. This webinar series aims to share insights and knowledge; to present and discuss strategies for dealing with different challenges faced by governments, organisations and businesses for a more sustainable future.
