Welcome to the third webinar in the CLS webinar series regarding the COVID-19 situation: Breaking down the state aid schemes to support the Portuguese economy - what do they mean to businesses? The webinar will be held in Portuguese.
On the 4th of April, the European Commission announced the approval of the €13 billion state aid schemes to support the Portuguese economy during the COVID-19 Outbreak. The economic support will be available to both small and medium-sized companies and large businesses facing economic difficulties as a result of the current outbreak.
What does this support actually look like for businesses and what are the practical experiences of applying for these schemes? To better understand what this entails, we have organized a panel discussion with representatives from the Portuguese Ministry of Finance, Millennium BCP, and the Confederation of Portuguese Business (CIP) to explore how these schemes can help businesses to cover their immediate working capital or investment needed to ensure the continuation of their operations.
