Dear Members of CLS,
"Discover Portugal!" is back with a new exciting season!
September brings a sense of back to school to all of us, regardless of age. Fortunately enough, for the autumn season we have two interesting and enlightening events in the "Discover Portugal!" series of seminars to fulfill that urge to learn more. Just like last spring, we will have one seminar focusing on business and politics, as well as one on culture and history.
The first event is on a left-over topic from last spring, "Who runs Portugal?". We have all heard about 'the 15 families' that run this country, and it will be very interesting to hear more about this. The dinner will take place on October 14th at Restaurante Solar dos Presuntos - Rua Portas do Santo Antão 150, Lisbon.
The format is as follows:
- A series of dinners directed to people whom are newly arrived in Portugal or have an interest in expanding their network.
- An intimate setting with maximum attendance of some 25 people.
- The venues to be an attraction in themselves.
- Offering an excellent three-course dinner in a nice ambiance.
- Topics covering different aspects of business and public life in Portugal.
- Well known Portuguese speakers with events held in English.
- Room for ensuing discussions and follow-up conversation.
- An element of charity
